2023 recap

2023 was full of emotion. 

This was due to JY senior year and need to prepare for college applications.  She was so emotional at the beginning that one moment she was smiling and next she would cry. She was driving me crazy at first until I figured out that it was all due to the pressure of picking the university that she wants. Now I know how hard it is for all seniors when they begin the application process.  

As a mother I think I'm a failure to not recognize her troubles until she show sign of breaking down. It hurt so much to see her breaking down.

It all came down to should I go to a better ranking university or average university.  Will I  be accepted in for all those that I applied. Should I go to the university that is in the city that I like or to a more collage town environment. 

Lots of questions were making JY hard to process at first and all I can say to her was go to where it makes you happy. Don't think too much and we'll decide when she gets the reply form all the applications. 

Then here comes our problem. We need to move. So we were thinking that we have to move to another city. Then came the result from the application.  She got accepted in all the university that she applied.  So we end up back at the same city but we will still need to move nearer to her university.  

We were busy looking for apartments.  And I need to start packing up.

Then during the winter break JY was now in panic mode od getting her driving license done. There were lots of hiccups along the way. Doing things last minute is really bad.

So thank you 2023 year for such experience and I'll never forget 2023 as it's going to be another new chapter in 2024. JY is going to start college in September 2024. What can I  say. Time flies by.  In a blink of an eye she will start her college life. CONGRATULATIONS! 

This also a congratulations to Jazz as he needs to work harder and save more money for JY college fees. 🤦‍♀️😅

Joke aside we are selling our Penang house to fund her college. To me and Jass her future are more important.

2024 will be exciting.  Lokking forward to a good year ahead.
